In a terse statement released on Sunday, the governor said the sack is with immediate effect.
It added that Adamu will hand over to the Director of Treasury in the Ministry of Finance, Ibrahim A. M. Kura, being the most senior officer in the ministry.
No reason was given for the sacking.
