Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Kayode Fayemi has ordered the immediate sealing off of the Nigerian Development and Construction Company (NDCC).
Fayemi gave the order on Thursday. The company was sealed for alleged diversion of explosives and its licence to import explosives withdrawn.
This action is followed by an investigation made by the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), which has revealed that the company was involved in an illegal diversion of about 9,000 kilogramme (kg) of Nitro-glycerine explosives and 16,420 pieces of electrical detonators from its magazines between 2015 and 2016.
